It’s Party, Party Time!

Looking for some party make-up inspiration?
Whether your usual look is a ‘no-makeup, make-up’ look or you love a sultry smoky eye,
here’s our guide to inspire you to switch up your make-up this party season.

THE DARK LIP

For the sassiest lips in the room a vampy dark lip will have you stealing all the attention.

Lip prep is key to wearing this look, exfoliating lips first is a must for the smoothest and longest-lasting application.
A homemade lip scrub of coconut oil and brown sugar works wonders, then apply a generous slick of lip balm,
leave on whilst you do the rest of your make-up, blot off the lip balm before lining your lips and apply your lip colour.
Soften the look by keeping skin looking fresh and subtly perfected.

For a more subtle take, opt for beautiful deep berry or bordeaux red tones and wear as a ‘lived-in’
lip stain. Universally flattering and super wearable, it will last you through drinks and dinner fading naturally, so no touch-ups required.

THE COLOUR SMOKY EYE

If it’s your eyes you want to play up, then switch up your regular black lined smoky eyes for a colour.

Beautiful cobalt blues and rich gold accents look stunning on darker skin tones and brown eyes, rich bronze
and amethyst tones on green eyes and statement making golden tones on blue eyes, we also can’t get enough
of rich burgundy/brown tones and gun metal greys, all of which are universally flattering.

To achieve this look, run your pencil along the top lashline and blend all over eyelid either with a brush
or your finger. Apply a sweep of the colour on to the lower waterline and into the bottom lashes (warm up
the pencil on the back of your hand first to get full colour payoff and ease of blending) then blend using
your fingers to smudge the liner in. Pair with lashings of black mascara on to freshly curled lashes.

Keep skin fresh and glowing, conceal under your eyes and around your nose and mouth, highlight
the tops of your cheekbones, cupids bow, bring life back to the skin with a sweep of blush and keep your lips nude.

THE DISCO EYE

You can go all out with this look or apply a subtle accent.

Even if you have zero minutes between finishing work and heading to the party, this look can still be achieved beautifully.

Choose your product wisely and let it do all the work for you. MAC do amazing glitter pigments, as do Makeup Forever,
use a cream eyeshadow first (or a dab of your favourite lip balm) to help ‘fix’ the glitter on to the skin.

Not into glitter? Wear a metallic colour instead as a beautiful light-catching wash all over the eyelid with a slick
of black liner – sophisticated and still screams ‘party’!
Or for a more subtle take, apply as a highlight to the inner corners of your eyes using your fingers or simply
add a highlight onto the cupids bow of your lips and wear with a striking red lip for a full on festive look.
